Our Story
Our daughter came into this world a fighter. From the moment she was born, she faced a battle that no child should ever have to endure. She was diagnosed with gastroschisis, a rare condition where her intestines developed outside of her body. Before we could even hold her, she was whisked away for immediate medical attention, beginning her journey of strength and resilience. The weeks that followed were some of the hardest of our lives. Our baby girl lay in the NICU, connected to machines and surrounded by doctors who worked tirelessly to save her. Every day was an emotional rollercoaster, filled with moments of hope, moments of fear, and countless prayers. Our faith was tested, but we held onto it tightly, believing that God was watching over our little girl. That’s when the Ronald McDonald House became our saving grace. They opened their doors to us, giving us a place to stay just minutes from the hospital. It wasn’t just a room—it was a home, filled with warmth, support, and understanding. The staff and volunteers became our extended family, providing comfort when we felt lost and weary. We met other families who were also facing their own battles, and in that shared space of love and hardship, we found strength and faith. Weeks turned into months, and slowly, our daughter grew stronger. Through prayer and perseverance, we witnessed miracles unfold. The day we finally brought her home was one of the happiest days of our lives. But we never forgot the kindness that carried us through those difficult times. The Ronald McDonald House gave us more than just a place to stay; they gave us hope, peace, and the ability to be with our daughter when she needed us most. Now, we want to pay it forward. We want to give back to the organization that gave us so much. Whether through donations, volunteering, or sharing our story, we are committed to helping other families the way we were helped. Because we know that behind every child in the NICU, there is a family clinging to hope—and hope is something worth giving. And through faith and prayer, we believe that every family can find the strength they need. Our daughter is a survivor, a warrior, and a reminder of the power of love, faith, and community. And because of her journey, we will always be grateful, and we will always strive to make a difference.
